Welcome to Opera Unlimited and The Conference of Birds
Music and the      environment
19 March 2013
Resonance FM radio  Peter Cowdrey talks  about the influence of birdsong in his work in a discussion with Rob Szymanek
                             Opera, Music and Birdsong

We produce new operas, concerts and education programmes for a variety of venues. Our passion is working with singers at the start of their careers by casting them in innovative, inspiring work alongside established professionals. Ever present is our love of birdsong – the key, we believe, to the evolution of language, song and music.

Our dedicated ensemble, The Conference of Birds plays for our staged productions and performs birdsong inspired music from Vivaldi and Handel to Messiaen, Granados, Janacek and Cowdrey.  It also leads birdsong and music workshops and walks in the UK and abroad.

Our education project, Birdswing,
brings the mystery and beauty of birdsong as music into schools and communities via technology, film performance and field study.
